Michael Price

I am comfortable on the shop floor, at site or in the offices of clients and partners.  And I am equally comfortable in the boardroom and in front of shareholders, investors and other stakeholders.

With over 20 years in leadership roles, I value being curious, interested and open to the knowledge, experience and energy of others.  I enjoy – and I am recognized by peers – as being firm but fair while aligning our teams, processes and technologies to succeed.

I hold an MBA from RRU and a BSc from UVIC.  After building a career in government, fostering sustainable development, I served in progressively senior roles in the timber, energy, transportation and technology sectors. 

On this lifelong journey of learning, I owned a hardwood sawmill where we increased production fourfold, to 1 million board feet, in year one.  And I was co-founder and CEO of a rail technology company where we transformed a novel IP into a commercial-ready regenerative braking, battery-powered rail haulage system for mining and port clients. In the oil & gas sector, I lead project and operational turnarounds, strategic planning, and the development of a global joint venture— a $250M fabrication partnership with a Chinese state-owned enterprise.
